The MUNFA Executive Committee is seeking volunteers for the MUNFA Pension Committee for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Committee members address Academic Staff Members’ concerns about the pension plan, contribute to determining pension benefits and contributions, advise the MUNFA membership on the activities of the MUN Pensions Committee and oversee the management of pension plan investments.
This year is particularly important as the Executive Committee is anticipating that the University Administration will invite MUNFA and other Unions on campus to begin negotiating joint sponsorship of the MUN pension plan. The MUNFA Pension Committee will complement the Executive’s negotiations through information gathering and dissemination.
