International Women’s Day Bread & Roses Brunch

MUNFA has purchased a table at the International Women’s Day Bread and Roses brunch hosted by the Canadian Labour Congress. We have a limited number of seats for the event which will happen Sunday, March 3rd at 11:00a.m. at the Holiday Inn (180 Portugal Cove Road).

The Bread and Roses brunch is a longstanding tradition in St. John’s where people from diverse unions and community groups come together to celebrate International Women’s Day and educate ourselves on current issues. This year’s theme is “Done Waiting” and the keynote speaker is Mary Shortall, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour. This event supports the work of the St. John’s Women’s Centre that offers valuable programs and services year round.
