The MUNFA Executive Committee met this morning to consider our members’ feedback on the University’s “Final Offer.” Members expressed considerable discontentment with that offer, as well as with the administration’s approach to the negotiating process.
In light of our members’ dissatisfaction and the University’s recent indication that it is willing to return to the negotiating table with a view to reaching a “mutually acceptable collective agreement,” the MUNFA Executive voted unanimously to send our negotiators back to Conciliation. Communications with the Conciliator indicate that talks will resume imminently.
The MUNFA Executive and Negotiating Committees thank our members for their thoughtful feedback. We very much appreciate the extraordinarily high level of engagement at this critical time.
