MUNFA has teamed up with the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) to offer MUNFA members on the St. John’s Campus* a free afternoon workshop in Communications and Media Relations. Our members are often experts in their fields and have much to offer journalists, writers and other media in shaping their respective discourses. As a service to our members we are offering a CAUT lead workshop that offers training in effective ways to interact with media. This will include training in common interviewing techniques, social media engagement and how to write a media release.
When: Tuesday, April 7, 2015
Time: 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Location: to be announced
(once participant numbers are confirmed)
There is no cost to MUNFA members for this training. Members are encouraged to attend and there is no minimum experience or expertise required. To facilitate the course, there will be a cap of forty (40) participants. To register please email Kelly Hickey, MUNFA’s Executive Officer (kdhickey@mun.ca) by Friday, March 20, 2015.
