Deadline Extended for Expressions of Interest – Special Committee on Course Equivalencies

As part of the recently negotiated MUN/MUNFA Collective Agreement, the Parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a Special Committee to determine universal principles of course equivalencies and standard course equivalencies for all Academic Staff Members (ASMs) teaching at the University.

The Special Committee will be comprised of nine (9) members: four (4) ASMs appointed by MUNFA, four (4) members appointed by the University, and one (1) appointed non-voting Chair, agreeable to both Parties. Within one-hundred (100) days of the Committee being formed, the Committee shall deliver an interim Report to the Parties, and shall seek consultation on that Report.

The MUNFA Executive is currently seeking expressions of interest from ASMs willing to sit on the Special Committee on Course Equivalencies. If interested, please send one paragraph to munfa@mun.ca explaining what experience/knowledge you possess that would be of benefit to the committee’s work. Deadline for expressions of interest has been extended toMay 6, 2019.
