MUNFA has purchased a table at the International Women’s Day Bread and Roses brunch in St. John’s hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour. We have a limited number of seats for the event which will happen Sunday, March 8th at 11:00a.m. at the Holiday Inn (180 Portugal Cove Road).
The Bread and Roses brunch is a longstanding tradition in St. John’s where people from diverse unions and community groups come together to celebrate International Women’s Day and educate ourselves on current issues. This year’s theme is “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights”. This event supports the work of the St. John’s Women’s Centre that offers valuable programs and services year round.
