The University’s current Smoking Policy prohibits smoking at any time on any property occupied by Memorial University.
After receiving complaints from ASMs regarding smoking on campus, MUNFA filed an Association grievance on the University’s failure to enforce the Smoking Policy. A grievance meeting was held on October 24, 2018. The response from the Associate-Vice President (Academic) is linked here.
Since then, Memorial’s administration announced the review of its Smoking Policy and circulated an online survey to solicit feedback. We encourage all ASMs to provide their input. The deadline to complete the survey is April 18 at 4p.m.
