SUBJECT: SciVal Cleanup Project
On July 13, 2023, the MUNFA Executive wrote to the membership to advise of concerns with the unauthorized use of Academic Staff Members’ CVs for the “SciVal Cleanup Project”. As noted in the IB, MUNFA contacted the office of the Vice-President Research and received the linked response.
MUNFA has serious concerns that ASMs may have unknowingly sent their CVs to the University administration for use in this project. As such, MUNFA encourages any ASM who does not want their CV used as part of SciVal or the University’s “Cleanup Project” to email their Administrative Head, recall their CV, and ensure that it is clear that consent has not been given for their CV use in this project.
ASMs with questions and concerns about this project and its intent are encouraged to contact the office of the Vice-President Research, vp.research@mun.ca.
