In the last round of Collective Bargaining, MUNFA was able to secure longer contracts for Teaching Term Appointees. As such, Clause 22.05 of the current Collective Agreement mandates a minimum contract length for Teaching Term Contracts of not less than five (5) months in duration.
MUNFA has learned that some Teaching Term Appointees hired urgently under Clause 22.14(c) for the Fall 2023 semester have not been offered contracts in line with the provisions outlined in Clause 22.05.
MUNFA requests that any Teaching Term Appointee who has been offered a contract that does not appear to comply with the length and start date provisions outlined in Clause 22.05 to please contact the MUNFA office at munfa@mun.ca.
