The MUNFA Executive wishes to express its support for the members of Unifor Local 597 (D-J Composites Unit) in your struggle to obtain a fair agreement. We find the actions of D-J Composites in relation to, among other things, bad faith bargaining, union busting tactics such as importing foreign workers, attempting to go around the union by making direct offers to individual unionized workers to return to work, and the demands for concessions on seniority, completely unacceptable. Your staunch resistance to such demands is entirely justified.
The MUNFA Executive Committee has unanimously approved a donation to your strike fund in the amount of $1000.00 as a show of support. Good luck in bringing this dispute to a satisfactory resolution.
