SUBJECT: Clause 22.19 – Term Contract Conversions
In the last round of Collective Bargaining, MUNFA and the Employer agreed to modify the language regarding the conversion of term contracts as outlined in Clause 22.19 of the Collective Agreement. The new language allows for any term appointment (including a teaching term appointment) to be converted to a tenure-track position. The new language also provides a mechanism to convert a teaching term appointment to a regular term appointment.
MUNFA would like to hear from Academic Units on any and all conversion requests that are being made or have been made since the new Collective Agreement came into effect. ASMs are asked to email munfa@mun.ca to provide information on both successful and unsuccessful requests under Clause 22.19.
