Collective Bargaining – Priorities & Proposals Committee (1st Notice)

MUNFA is seeking input from all members to guide the next round of negotiations. The current MUNFA Collective Agreement is in effect from March 17, 2023, to August 31, 2026. The MUNFA Executive is now beginning preliminary steps in anticipation of the next round of collective bargaining.

To ensure your voice is heard, we encourage you to share your thoughts by completing this survey. Your experiences and perspective will be invaluable in guiding our priorities.

We are also welcoming expressions of interest from members who wish to serve on a Proposals Committee that will be responsible for:

  • Gathering suggestions from all MUNFA members and MUNFA Committees about changes they would like to see in their workplace and working conditions.
  • Collaborating with the MUNFA Executive to identify a focused set of priorities for bargaining.
  • Considering how these priorities can be advanced through changes to the Collective Agreement.
  • Drafting contract language that incorporates these changes.

Ideally the Committee will include bargaining unit members from all campuses, various Academic Units and ASM categories. We especially encourage members of equity-seeking groups to consider this important role.
