H1N1 Preparations

It has come to the attention of the MUNFA Executive that some Academic Units, in their response plan to the H1N1 flu, are planning to have a weekly roll call of faculty and staff and thereby formally report all faculty absences from campus. We share concern about the flu virus and its spread, and we encourage Academic Staff Members (ASMs) to report to their Administrative Head symptoms consistent with confirmed illness from H1N1 (and stay home until asymptomatic), however we also want to remind ASMs that they are not required to account for their time any differently during this time period than previously. In other words, there is no obligation to report to a weekly roll call.
