Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Philomena Brophy and I am honored to be a recipient of a 2017- 2018 MUNFA Scholarship! I am from Fermeuse, NL (which is located along the Southern Shore). I am currently in Terms A/B of a Bachelor of Commerce degree here at Memorial University. I chose to study here at MUN because of the amazing academic reputation of the Faculty of Business! I aspire to focus my studies in the concentration of either Finance or Human Resources and Labour Relations. The MUNFA Scholarship will help me in my academic pursuits as it allows me to focus on my studies without worrying about the financial burden of school.

What are your future aspirations?
I want to become a teacher.

What are you studying?
I recently completed the Primary/Elementary Second Degree Program (French Immersion).

Why did you choose this program?
I chose this program because I love French and I enjoy working with children.

How will the MUNFA Scholarship help you in your academic pursuits?
The MUNFA Scholarship allowed me to finish my studies in Education and complete my degree.

I chose MUN for my studies because it has cheaper tuition than other universities and offers great education that is close to home.

What are your future aspirations?
I aspire to become a process engineer through the engineering program that is offered at MUN.

What are you studying?
I am studying engineering.

Why did you choose this program?
I chose this program because I am interested in math, science, and how things work, and this program offers education in all these areas.

How will the MUNFA Scholarship help you in your academic pursuits?
The MUNFA scholarship is a huge help for tuition and living costs while at MUN. It has taken care of a large financial portion of the first year.
