The Executive Committee of MUNFA, Memorial University’s Faculty Association, stands in full solidarity with the Memorial University of Newfoundland Student Union campaign against Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and racism.
MUNFA joins MUNSU and the University administration in unreservedly condemning recent posters at Memorial University that targeted Muslims and immigrants to Canada. There is no place for such expressions of racism on campus or in the wider community.
MUNFA was proud to sign the MUNSU-initiated declaration on Wednesday past. We commend the student union for being at the forefront of the fight against racism on campus. We stand with them in this struggle, now and always.
