Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an ever-growing area of concern for the MUNFA Executive and membership. With changes to OHS committee structures at Memorial, aging infrastructure, and an increase in mental health concerns, many issues go unaddressed.
MUNFA is convening a meeting of members interested in health and safety issues. We will discuss what can to be done to better promote health and safety among ASMs, including steps to strengthen MUNFA involvement in joint health and safety committees. One possible outcome may be the formation of a permanent MUNFA Health and Safety Committee which will work to further discuss and implement health and safety activities.
THE MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE
ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2018 AT 3:00PM
ER 4002 (EARTH RESOURCES BOARDROOM)
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to our Membership & Administrative Coordinator, Travis Perry, at membership.munfa@mun.ca by Tuesday, February 6, 2018. If you are unable to attend but wish to provide suggestions, please send them in advance to Travis.
