MUNFA has purchased a table at the IWD Bread and Roses brunch. We have a limited number of seats for the event which will happen Sunday, March 5th at 11:00a.m. at the Bellavista (26 Torbay Road, St. John’s). The event is a longstanding tradition in St. John’s where people from diverse unions and community groups come together to celebrate International Women’s Day and educate ourselves on current issues. This year’s theme is “Rise Up for Change” and the keynote speaker is Jessica McCormick, 1st Vice President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour. This event supports the work of the St. John’s Women’s Centre that offers valuable programs and services year round.
