SUBJECT: Summer Months and Workplace Temperatures
As the summer months approach, the MUNFA Executive would like to remind Academic Staff Members (ASMs) of the IB circulated last summer in response to the University’s messages and approach to heat stress at work.
While temperatures this year have not yet reached high levels in the province, it is anticipated that warm days and heat warnings will occur again this year. As such, the MUNFA Executive again encourages members who experience or have experienced adverse working conditions due to summer heat to contact MUNFA at munfa@mun.ca. Please include the name of the building you work from, the floor, and any other pertinent details
