STRIKE PAY: The second and last week of strike pay
will be availabe at 25 Anderson Ave on
Wednesday, 15 November, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
12 NOVEMBER 2000 At 5:30 PM, after an all night bargaing session, the MUN administration and MUNFA agreed on a tentative Collective Agreement. Late this afternoon, the parties also agreed on a back-to-work protocol. As of 11:59 PM tonight, the strike of faculty members and librarians will officially be over. The settlement is subject to ratification by MUNFA members and the Board of Regents. MUNFA is pleased that its differences with the administration have been resolved, and looks forward to returning to classrooms and libraries on Tuesday, November 14, 2000.As part of the agreed upon back-to-work protocol, contingency plans have been agreed to ensure that the semester can brought to successful completion.
