Promotion and Tenure File Sessions (July 29 and August 3, 2026)

July 17, 2026

Are you preparing a Promotion and Tenure (P&T) file for the first time? Are you revising your file for a tenure track extension or tenure application? Are you getting ready to apply for promotion? Do you have questions about how your file will be assessed, or how to assess a P&T file?

The MUNFA Executive is pleased invite Academic Staff Members (ASMs) to P&T File Sessions to be held virtually and in person on July 29th and August 3rd, 2026. The July 29th session will be held on Grenfell Campus, led by Prof. Andrew Testa (Visual Arts) and Dr. Dmitry Sveshnikov (Environmental Science). The August 3rd session will be held virtually, led by Dr. John Sandlos (History), and other members of the St. John’s Academic Freedom and Grievance Committee.

Faculty Members and Librarians with questions about their files, or P&T Committee members with specific questions about the review process are invited to attend. Additional clinics may be added if interest is high. Dates may be subject to change.

The Grenfell Campus session will be held on Wednesday, July 29th at 2:00pm in AS 379. Members may register for the Grenfell Campus Session by contacting Dr. Sveshnikov at (dsveshnikov@mun.ca). A Teams link can be provided for members wishing to attend virtually.

The Virtual Session will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 1:00pm, via Zoom. Members may register for the session at the following link:
