RE: Memorial Welcomes Dr. Janet Morrison as next President and Vice-chancellor
On April 30, 2025, the Presidential Search Committee announced the appointment of Dr. Janet Morrison as the next President and Vice-Chancellor of Memorial University.
MUNFA extends a warm welcome to Dr. Morrison as she prepares to join Newfoundland and Labrador’s only university. We thank her for accepting this important role at a pivotal time for Memorial and the broader post-secondary sector.
As the representative of Memorial’s academic staff, MUNFA is committed to working collaboratively with the President to strengthen the institution. We are hopeful that Dr. Morrison’s leadership will be marked by a collegial governance style rooted in transparency, accountability, and meaningful engagement with faculty, staff, and students.
