Changes to Grenfell Campus Leadership and the Collective Agreement – Update
May 15, 2026As previously communicated on March 19, 2026 (IB#2025/26:23), Memorial University restructured its senior administration effective March 1, 2026, replacing the Vice-President (Grenfell Campus) with a Deputy Provost (Grenfell and Labrador Campus). This change has implications for multiple provisions of the Collective Agreement.
On April 10, 2026, MUNFA received a proposed MOU from the University outlining extensive amendments to the Collective Agreement connected with these executive structure changes. The Executive has advised the University that it will require time to review all of the proposed changes and to consult with the membership and AF&G Committees. No MOU has been signed, and the current Collective Agreement remains in full effect. As such members should continue to rely on its existing provisions in the Collective Agreement.
